Cycling tops for tall women?

I'm 5'6" but I often have this problem with jerseys too. I second Gore & Castelli -- both are cut with plenty of length. Sportful too.

I am 5'10" and am about 30 pounds overweight. I have found Cannondale to fit me the best (size L fits, but is a loose-which I like). Primal is small.

I also buy an occasional (heaven forbid) men's jersey. Those fit OK.

6', but "short" in the torso....well, "short" for 6'. I probably can't help because I'll just buy XL to get the length and go a little baggy.

That said, my long sleeved sun jersy from Bouree is only a large, fits snug and has sleeves that are long enough when my arms are stretched out--a rarity for any long sleeved shirt.

I have an XL women's Santiti that is great. Long in the torso and snugger than a normal XL.

I've had good luck with buying men's european pro-fit in a 4. The pro-fit is lean, but long. If you're busty that solution won't work.

I mentioned in the other thread on this (in apparel) that I taught myself to alter my jerseys. I take the elastic out of the hem and rehem it. I take in the extra fabric through the torso, so it's not floppy there. Can't make the arms longer though.

Great advice. I'm not that tall (5'6"), but I hate jersey creep! I like a fairly long, nicely fitted jersey--and soft, stretchy fabric, not that stiff stuff so many seem to be made of these days.Some of the Castelli jerseys here on TE look nice, but I seem to fall right between a medium and a large (based on bust measurement). Any advice on whether to order large or small with that brand?

Oh--and what's with all the pink and pastels? Yuk. And the cutesy prints are even worse! Well, at least for me.

An age-old problem for me, too. I'm 5'10 and have long arms. For long-sleeved tops, I can usually count on men's small to have long-enough sleeves and otherwise fit nice and snug, and be long enough in the torso. Women's L and XL tend to be too baggy in the torso for me.

Some of the Castelli jerseys here on TE look nice, but I seem to fall right between a medium and a large (based on bust measurement). Any advice on whether to order large or small with that brand?

I'm 5'6", 33" bust, 26" waist, 36-37" hip. This puts me between small and medium, much closer to medium on the Castelli size chart. However, small is definitely the right size on me, in both Castelli tops and Castelli bottoms.

Regardless of the fact that I'm a different size in reality than the size chart says I should be, I would say that Castelli runs pretty true to size, in the sense that I wear the same size in Castelli that I wear in most brands.
