Love that wrist band. Alas I cannot it wear at work. But I was writing the initials all over my paper at a meeting yesterday.

I also can relate. I mentally and physically feel my best when I am riding. It was very fustrating when I fractured my shoulder two years ago.

Right now it is everyday life that keeps me from riding as much as I like. I hope to change that a bit next year. I envey all you out west people that you don't really have an off season like us NE'ers. However, I get on my trainer which might begin next week for weekday rides. I consider it a consolation and something is better than nothing.

Veronica, I hope you knee feels even better than yesterday.

    Arghhh...

We tried to do a fairly easy 35 miler yesterday. The first hill made my knee start aching again. It was fine with my little commute on Thursday and Friday. And didn't hurt on the flats either.

And I could just Harden the F#ck Up and Ignore it. It's just not that intense a pain, more irritating. But I'm afraid if it doesn't heal, it will always be there. And 40 is just too young to already have a bum knee.

Time off the bike does suck. Have saddle sores from a six-hour race at the weekend (nothing bad, just coulda done with some arse lard) and am trying to stay off for just one more day so it gets better enough not to get worse. But it's so sunny today and I'm not working.

Take care of that knee. If it's the hills making it hurt, what about some flat rides or even the trainer, just to keep you sane...

I'm sorry to hear about your knee Veronica. My left one was killing me by the time I was done with events this year and after a summer of slacking/illness that has kept my mileage low, I'm back to training again and really hoping it doesn't start acting up. Hope it feels better soon!

Hey, I wondered where you had been Brandy! I checked your Blog a few days ago and was a bit worried about you. But George wrote about you, so I figured all must be okay and you were just busy.

Sorry to hear you have been under the weather for so long. That stinks!

Awww...you're so sweet Veronica. I started working for the first time in almost nine years and I just haven't been online as much. I totally neglected my blog, but now that my training is picking up again, I'll probably blog a little bit more to keep track of what I'm doing.

I'll probably be up in your area with the kids some in 2008. We're making our 2008 ultra-calendar right now and the kids and I will probably travel with George when he does some doubles up your way. If we do that, I'll volunteer to help out if they need any extra bodies. I'm trying to keep most of my events down this way, it's easier to secure childcare for one day than for a whole weekend!
