    It's almost here!

Let us know when it gets here and your take on it. As far as the weight is concerned, I had a Schwinn Suburban a few months ago I picked up at a garage sale. That thing was so heavy that I could hardly lift it! It was upright and since I was only using it for errands, not serious riding, the weight didn't matter at all! Really! Then I fell in love with my Bianchi mixte, (well, it was a very superficial relationship as it was built only on looks, not comfort,) but that Schwinn was terrific to ride. Somehow it seemed really solid. I sold it at MY garage sale, and I see it around town all the time, so as far as the weight is concerned, if you are planning on putting a basket, flowers and a jug of wine in front, your bike is just going to be FUN! And I have yet to find a mixte that is as heavy as that 1976 Schwinn.

I'm excited for you! What does your DH think about all of this, and the fact that you may drag home 10-15 bikes on Friday???

I have to work tomorrow until 2:30, but I'm going to be checking the FedEx site to see when it is delivered and then I may just have to leave early!

My DH is really a sweetheart. He is so easy going and tolerant. He has learned not to be surprised by anything I might come up with. He will take off Friday and go with me and share my excitement. I HOPE the guy calls back like he is supposed to tomorrow to set it all up.

I will NOT be dragging home 10 or 15 bikes. 1, 2 or maybe 3 at the most!

Hubby and I were sitting on our back deck drinking coffee around 5 p.m. today and I said "let's hurry up and go to bed so it will hurry up and be tomorrow".

He said "it will probably be later in the day before that bike is delivered" to which I replied "I know, but at least it will be THE DAY!"

I'm like a kid at Christmas.

And wasn't it you who pooh poohed my suggestion that you would have another one within 6 months? I'm holding my ground. 10 or 15.

    IT'S HERE!!!

I was leaving for work at 7:30 this morning. My house is sort of funny. The garage is on one little street and the front of the house is on another little cul-de-sac street. As I was backing out of my garage I saw FedEx at the front of my house! I couldn't leave the package there all day.

I quickly pulled back into the garage, ran through the house and drug the box in to check it out.

The bike is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Much better condition than I dreamed or imagined it could be. No rust, very few scratches, even the tires look new. The pictures did not do it justice. It is far better than it was described.

I can't wait to get it together, take a spin and check it out. I'm thrilled!!!!!! Pictures later.

Why do I have this crazy picture of you tearing through the house? So were your instincts good? Honey Brooks? Albatross bars? Can't wait to see the pics. It's so nice when an ebay transaction works out so well!
