    New Shoes!! (with a picture)

I FINALLY got my new wheels and got them on The Lovely Madone today!

I finally chose the American Classic 420 bladed in black. (~1530g), red veloplugs (~6g), lunar lite tubes (~50g X 2 = 100g), conti supersonic tires (~155g X 2 =310g) total weight 1946g versus ~2500g on the old ones, plus the 34 mm aero rim. They feel quick and light!!!

Oh, I also had hybrid ceramic bearings installed.

No, I got The Lovely Madone last October 30. The same day that I had a chest tube put in to inflate my collapsed lung from the bike wreck the previous day.

I've put about 4400 miles on him this year. But I was never happy with the wheels. I never felt that the Bontrager Race wheels that were on it were worthy of the rest of the bike. I suppose they assume the you will upgrade the wheels.

I plan to use these wheels as race/special rides wheels and use the heavier wheels as training wheels. But I can see that it will be very difficult to take them off.

    Holy Cow, silver shoes!!!!
I am impressed. You are sleek from head to foot.

What do you do with your old wheels, Silver? Keep them or sell them? My DH is sort of collecting various tires now and I'm starting to wonder how many we will have eventually.

    Here are my shoes:

    Too funny!

My wheels do not really merit their own photo.

Sweet! Your bike looks awesome; black was definitely the color to get in the wheels.

I remember when you were on your back in the hospital full of broken bones and how Mr. Silver came on here and said he was going to get you that bike so you would have something to inspire you to recover really quickly. It was so touching and marvelous. Now look how far you've come!

    (and silver shoes too!)

That jacket would look good with those shoes.

It reminds me of something from The Outer Limits or something Emma Peel would wear.
