Wow, you were able to keep a bag of cookies going for three whole days? I am seriously impressed. I don't buy baked sweets unless I am okay with eating it in one sitting. Because I will. And I buy them way too often, too.

I don't really notice a seasonal change in my cravings, but before I started flying south for the winter, I would definitely gain weight in the winter and lose it as soon as they knocked back the daylight savings time in the spring. Pretty obviously light related, in my case, but then I'm very aware of my body's response to natural light, anyway.

Well, I bought them late on Saturday and finished them just after dinner on Monday. In my defense, I rode a lot too! I lost some weight during my bike tour of Tennessee and it's provided a very, very bad excuse to be, well, bad.

    Must. stop. now.

I always called this "putting on the winter blubber layer."
Maybe, if I make is sound un-appealing enough, I won't do it!

Although I feel guilty about the over-packaging issue, I try to buy (note: TRY) only single-serve packages of cookies and treats - what they target/market for kids' school lunches. That way, it serves as a portion control for me. DH and I could do SERIOUS damage to a package of Chips-Ahoy or Oreos or Cameos or Nutter Butters or ... gads! the list goes on. Sadly, I never met a cookie I didn't like. But, if there are only 4 or 6 in the package, the damage is less severe.

We only buy pop-tarts when we're camping. Last weekend I forgot! My 25 yo son saved me, and brought some but he bought the $1 off-brand. They were SO much more wonderful than the Kellogg's!! OMG. Must stay away from the store-brand pop-tarts!

Zen, I tried that recipe and made those delicious bar cookies. Now I'm gonna have to ride for days to burn all those calories.
