I hope you know I'm not serious.

Did you make your fund-raising goal?
    I did what I could...
I'll get a couple more checks this week, so I might still make my goal. Thank you for your support. I realize that there's a whole bunch of charity events and it's tough to donate to all of them. Am starting to think I need to pick one a month for my own donations (or something like that). You know, sprinkle $10-15 dollars around once a month.

The cat - she's on antibiotics, again; and antihistimines that has the pleasant side effect of triggering her appetite. She's down to 5.6 pounds (should be around 8). I have put her bowl on an overturned coffee mug, so that she doesn't have to lower her head so much to eat. Figure it might help, I know tieing my shoes when I have a head cold is a real pain.

Give you cat something really, really smelly to eat - seriously, cats appetites are mostly stimulated through their noses so when they are stuffed up and can't smell they tend to not be hungry. So the fishiest nastiest canned catfood you can find might get her interested again.
