    You may need new tires if those are worn or really old. You will most likely need new tubes anyway if the bike has not been ridden in years.
    The sidewalls are TAN, not white....so they may not be as filthy as you think!

    Sandra, I love your wicker basket. It'll look fabulous on your mixte.

    Truth be told I have a basket similar to yours that I hope to find a bike for one of these days. I imagine a bottle of wine, a baguette and some greens trailing out of it. One day....

    I'm so excited I can hardly sleep at night. I'm thinking of changing my handlebars and seat and all of the things I'm going to do.
