Northstar - what really made me feel bad was that the scale errorred the first two times I stood on it I was starting to get a complex! But I had a hooded sweatshirt on and my pocket was loaded with stuff - I was making sure I didn't come in a pound under cuz I knew I was close. I did find it odd that out of 521 finishers that only 11 of us were brave enough to admit we are Athenas I'm ok with it - better to have finished 7th than 37th!

I agree with Dar, this was a great event with pretty decent weather for late September in Wisconsin (although a little less wind would have been nice). It was fun to have someone else up there for moral support.

I'm looking forward to doing this event next year. I am making a promise to myself right now to take it more seriously and actually train alot more. I didn't have any physical limitations to stop me .... just laziness and too many other activities going on.

My Brett Favre cheeseman is in the fridge, and my DH has not even asked anything about it. That really is a sign that we take cheese of any kind for granted here in WI.
