Thanks V! Am I correct in assuming that it also has caffeine?

Yes, it also has caffeine and a lot of the B vitamins.

Red Bull lists the ingredients on their website. If you click on the items in red, you can find out more about them.

Thanks V - interesting stuff. It actually has less caffine in it that I was led to believe. Interesting about Taurine - that's where it gets its name Bull, from the Taurus/ Taurine.

Apparently Red Bull is illegal in France - something to do with the combination of caffine & taurine which can have adverse effects on some people, ...but probably only if you drank 100's of cans of it.

I've been known to drink 3-4 cans a day. If I'm doing a really long ride, I'll bring along two cans frozen.

I just like how it tastes.

If you don't drink the frozen cans you can use them as weapons against stupid motorists.

A guy I know was getting hassel from a motorist who was yelling and driving aggressively. The traffic was moving really slowly and someone yelled that my friend should be on the cycle path.

( For cycle path read - narrow strip sectioned off from the main footpath by a white stripe and pretty useless)

My mate yelled that doing 20mph on a narrow footpath would be pretty dumb and motorist yelled back something. So, my mate emptied a whole bottle of energy drink in through the open sunroof! I bet the guy had a sticky steering wheel for months!!

Ah - the sticking power of energy drink....
