The question is: What kind of waffles? The American crispy kind are made with separated eggs and stiff beaten whites. The Norwegian soft kind are not. Norwegian waffles also sometimes have cardemom in them (mmmmm!). Then I have a lemon-flavored waffle recipe that's quite good. And a friend of mine makes delicious waffles with left-over mashed potatoes.
