Although I did not have any hills to climb with this ride, I did have stop and go as I rode on the streets, across intersections etc. They worked out fine. Clipping in couldn't be better and clipping out was fine without using any effort to speak of, but my fear of my foot detaching from the pedal unexpectedly never happened. I think these will work out just fine. I am riding my first metric in Connecticut in a few weeks and if the starting point has a bit of grid lock cyclists I feel confident that I will not have a problem clipping out quickly if need be.

Thank you both once again for all your imput and suggestions.

Emily, I hope you are continuing to feel better.

JoAnn, thanks for your well wishes. I am improving every day. Yesterday I even rolled over onto my side (not the broken side, the other side) for the first time in two weeks!

I'm so glad to hear that the Frogs are working for you now. I honestly had never heard a bad thing about them from numerous folks who use them, so I felt sure you'd love them very soon!

Very good to hear Em! and man didn't that feel good just to be able to do that simple task!! Keep up the good healing hun - you're still very much in my thoughts!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
