I realize this post is too late, but I had to post anyway.
I detest AT&T. I had ZERO problems with Cingular and ever since AT&T took over, the service has been garbage.
Once it was down for two days. The only number that would get through was 611 (that number goes directly to AT&T). So, guess who I called??They LOVED me. They gave me some song and dance that someone had to hang-up their call before I could get through cause the network was busy. That lasted all day. I called again because surely there aren't that many long winded people talking well into the night.
I kept calling and I even told them I'm calling them because they are the only people I can call and I'll keep calling until I get through to other people.I also told them that I never liked AT&T and that's why I was with Cingular from the beginning and that I'm less than happy that they bought out Cingular
I would switch providers if I could, but I just upgraded my phone before this outage (which translates to signing my soul to the devil). To add insult to injury, my bill came the day after my service was down for two full days.![]()
I hate AT&T.
Edited to add: I agree Cingular (pre-AT&T and now) has a lot of dropped calls. Also, they don't have that many *bars* available either. Reality is, they were better than before the AT&T takeover, but now it's worse.
