I DOES give you wingsI would have never tried it had I not read about it here, THANKS!! I was feeling a little tired and it really gave me a boost. I also had a powergel.
I rode for 2 1/2 hours yesterday, in a strong headwind most of the time, and after an hour I stopped and bought one, I like the flavor but decided to mix it with my water, then I stopped about half an hour later and ate some p.b. crackers and finished my 25 mile ride! my longest ride so farI was riding the parkway so it was very hilly and the head wind felt like it was stopping me in my tracks some times - no lie, I was pedaling hard but not going anywhere! It was a great ride, I can't wait to do it again.

. Then my alarm went off at 6:45. And I hadn't done this distance in three weeks, and have barely been riding at all. Point being, I was not in top-notch condition for the ride. Yet I pulled it off, didn't get dropped, and maintained what for me is a pretty brisk pace!
I was glad to do 25 miles you did 50 and you were sick and tired
were yours hilly? I suspect I get a great workout just doing 25 miles with 70% + being hills? and that nasty head wind.
. I wasn't sick-feeling, just the throat thing and half lung capacity. One ibuprofen and about 500 snot rockets later, I was good to go.
