Mine's fine here in the midwest. Could it possibly be your phone? How old is your sim card? I know when those start to go, it seems like you drop calls regularly and have a hard time getting reconnected.

I live too far back in the hills and hollers to get reception.
It's funny when the flatlanders come around and try to use their cell phones
Maybe I should start sitting on the porch playing the banjo when they do.

Mine's fine here in sunny but windy CA. Have you tried turning the phone off and then back on? On my Nokia I had to do that every so often, on my new LG seems to work fine.

How's your battery life, granted it should have warned you if that was low.

Are you at a new or different location? Do you usually get reception there? Even if there was trouble at one of the towers there's generally enough overlap to cover you.

Lastly if you're in an urban area and getting poor reception and can see a church with a steeple....head closer. Not kidding. There's a company that works with most major cell providers to lease space in churches because it's higher obviously and does not show. And you thought it was just bells up there

Trek, using the same dang SIM card since it was Pacific Bell wireless

I'm so over Cingular. My service always goes out. Sat next to someone on an airplane the other night who had been hired to fix their network in LA. He did not have good things to say about it. Blah.

As for current service being down - I don't think it has today in LA. Just crappy signals, as per usual!

Cingular has the least dropped calls because they have the fewest connected calls! I dropped Cingular & even paid their fine for canceling the contract early. My DH goes out of town a lot and needs to have a reliable phone when he's driving.

Went back to Verizon. Much better.

Understatement of the year! SilverDaughter really wanted Cingular...we changed have 15 years on Verizon... Cingular has better coverage at our house...but nowhere else!

Cingular network was down several times in Central Indiana this week! Ugh!

I think Silver thought I was hiding from her!
