    Oh no! Monday blues indeed!
Sorry it was such a rough commute this morning. Wish it could've been better. Hopefully the rain held out for your ride home and that somebody was nice enough to take you to the lbs at lunchtime.

My commute made me mad! I didn't ride this morning, but should've. Left for work an hour early, and wound up being a little late. Stupid cars and stupid traffic. I'm riding tomorrow. Will take longer than the car to get to work, but at least I won't be stuck in stinkin' highway traffic. Ick!

Maybe my Monday story will cheer you up. It was fun.
I've noticed that any time an SUV containing 2 young (college-age) males passes me, they honk, yell, or otherwise harass me. Several housing developments were built along my road (without my permission), so I get a lot of that.

Today one such SUV passed me and did NOT honk. I wanted to thank them! Then lo and behold, I pulled up to the light behind them, and the back window was down, so I yelled, "I love you guys!"

They looked at each other. The driver turned off the music. The passenger turned around.
    "Why do you love us?"
"You didn't honk or yell at me!"
    "Why would we do that?"
"Every SUV containing 2 guys does."
The light was long and we chatted for a while. They asked if I was in the race. (The Tour of Missouri.) I used uforget's line: "No, the St. Louis Cardinals needed me that day." Then I explained it was for olympic cyclists.
