OK.....here is the black Lena skirt in Large. -Please ignore my hip lumps and my gut!
It has a very wide elastic band waist that you can actually fold down if you want the waist lower or the skirt higher. Little zipper pocket on right hip. Diagonal seams.
The waist could be a bit snugger on me, but I have very wide hips and narrow waist so I'm used to such issues. I might fold the waist down on myself as I like low waisted things. I am wearing the skirt a bit lower on my hips because otherwise the waist would be looser. I'm wearing a cropped short shirt to show the waistband for the photo.
I'm planning to wear this thin merino wool skirt during cool weather, over my long Ibex wool leggings and with smartwool longsleeve pullovers or sweaters on top. Just enough of a coverup over leggings.
    My hips= 42" Waist=32". Height 5'5", weight 145.

    R. Crumb's wife has a book out of her own cartoons and such.

Frankly, I think *she's* the talented one.

Edit: and Lisa, don't take this wrong, but I think you're lookin' damm hot! (wonder if it's too late for me to get one of those Lena skirts?!?!)

You're supposed to wear them over your HIPS, silly!

Great! Let us know how they fit. I keep in mind that this type of wool tends to relax a bit and soften after the first wash. Plus, it *will* shrink a TEENY WEENY bit naturally.

Yeah, I'm gettin' there! My DH has a BIG Crumb collection. He's also a "Crumb woman" fan....no boney sinew figures for him! He says if he wanted a stick he'd just have gotten a rawhide chew toy to knaw on.... I just love having nice strong legs to stomp around on.

Crumb's wife is definitely a really talented comic artist as well.

Knot....you know you want that skirt. It would go with your Euro halter for your espionage assignments.

Hmm...well without all her makeup I have to admit now that she DOES look like me. I've been getting Annie Lenox comments for many years.

...But can she YODEL, I ask you???

My older daughter is here for the weekend....off we go with DH now for French toast and latte in town!
    (gotta feed my R.Crumb legs...)

Oh you're a funny girl I know you know what I was referring to

I've never seen the R. Crumb pix - I may have to start googling this morning. It's in the 30's and I'm not feeling motivated to go for a ride. I AM feeling motivated to go put on some wool though
