I decided to go for it. Although the LBS didn't have any triples in stock, I was able to order one. It's a better color anyway. It should be here in two, very long weeks.

Unless you are 200 lbs+ spoke breakage usually isn't much of a problem.

I'm relieved to hear that. Having bike problems is really my only fear on this trip.
