MS 150 this weekend!

Oh, it was So. Much. Fun! PERFECT weather, good people, good times! The first day is definitely a tougher ride- more rolling hills and rough pavement- but you're right, it's a special treat to ride over Deception Pass sans cars! The second day was much smoother, except for the brisk headwind going north and the fact that lunch was 50 miles in- but I love love loved it. Unfortunately, some teenage jerks assaulted me and my friend by throwing bottles at us from their car (she got hit and nearly crashed going 22mph ), but I heard the police found 'em (thanks MS course marshals!), and I suppose Daddy won't be letting Junior drive his car any more. We tried to catch the little pricks and nearly caught up (top speed: close to 30), but I suppose it's better that we didn't get them. I don't need a police record for beating up some kids.

All in all, a great weekend and a good cause. I'll be back next year!
