I haven't swum since the Danskin, more than a year ago! I'd be a disaster!

Great Job. I am glad that it went well for you. You learn something every time you race. It will make it that much better the next time.

I got "lost in transition" once in each triathlon: bike to run in tri1, and swim to bike in tri2. In each case I had walked through what the transition would be like but failed to take into account coming from opposite directions in each transition. Hopefully, I'll remember this for next time.

    Good luck next week!
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

    Way to Go Teigyr!!!!!

    WooHoo Teigyr!!!!
You are now officially a triathlete!! Great 1st race report, and kudos to you! Don't worry about the swim,it will get better with proper practice! You finished what you set out to do,you had fun,you learned, and DH made some great pix! Welcome to the club and one question: Are you addicted now? Again, you rock!!

    CONGRATULATIONS!

You did a great job of getting a swim coach and practicing and then making it through the open water swim just fine.

The first tri is a learning experience for everyone... and you get to learn something new each time you do a new distance. Which is why this sport is so addicting! You reflect on your race and say, "I can do that better... next time I'll... xxxx."

So when is the next one?

    Terrific job!

YaY! You did it despite the initial qualms about the swim - and looking good in the pix!

    Congratulations!

thanks! and, um, I chose the pictures that made me look smaller than the other pictures. There was one that I swear made me look like my stomach was hanging over my knees. Almost. I'm open and honest on here but wasn't about to show THAT one
