Knot, you may be right that these are too wide for YOU, but I had the same fears as you at first. I had the poco on my bike that was stolen, so I didn't run out and change them. But, when I was in Harris Cyclery buying my titanium isis, terry had provided her with salsa poco's but the guys at harris cyclery were willing to let me customize. They asked me to describe my ideal bar in words, and then they brought up the noodle. I worried too when they said she was a 41, but she only comes in odd sizes, I think 41 and 44, something like that. But, when they put the bars on they felt great. I also have large hands (size L womens gloves) so I like that my hands feel comfy in the drops, some of the wsd bars made my hands feel cramped (I migrated from a 38 cm terry t-bar to 40 cm salsa poco to 41 cm noodle). As I said, on this bar, the extra width is really in the flare at the bottom of the drops, but I really like this, keeps the bars out of the way for out of saddle climbing, etc. and gives you really good leverage. I would buy them from Lisa if I didn't already own 2 of them!
