Vuelta - Stage 4 (spoilers) What a climb!

What an amazing climb through the mountain mists to Lagos de Covadonga. 12 km with long stretches of 15% gradient. The breakaway (including big names like Piepoli, Menchov, Sastre, Pereiro, Beltran) from the big breakaway (of 39 riders) was really powerful ; but Vladimir Efimov (Caisse de Epargne) just rode so well and noone could touch him. Perfect timing and lovely style. Nice to see a young and lesser known rider not only win but take the amarillo jersey too.
And a really gutsy ride by Cadel Evans running on empty but coming in 7th (after yesterday's 8th) to put him in 7th at 1:28 in the General!

    You talkin' to me?!?

I watch it live on Eurosport. Usually works out to the last hour or so (or more on European weekends or if there is a very big day).

Yep, that was amazing!!! It's Efimkin, though, not Efimov...

I paid 21 Euros to watch it live and also get full replays and highlights on Cycling.TV It's excellent coverage and worth the money in my book. DH and I really get a kick out of watching racing.

And after I spent so much time trying to get it right... ...obviously over-excited as I see my scribbled notes do say Efimkin. I was racing to get dinner ready as well

i'm watching the vuelta every morning on http://cycling.tv/ the greatest thing since the rear derailleur. it's free at 400 kbps, but you can get the vuelta at up to 1200 kbps for about $30. if you miss it live they have "as live" reruns as well as highlights every night. it starts most days at 5:45 pacific time.
