I went through the grief process--denial, anxiety, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

    Don't do that again. Ack!

    in case of emergency...

    please email or call! :-)

So, the embarrasing bit is that I was at work all weekend, but hadn't logged onto the boards, so didn't discover they weren't up until I got an email from someone on Sunday.

The server itself was fine, which is why I didn't get paged by the server health monitor, but the forums software got "stuck" and just needed a kick in the pants to start responding again. I've added an HTTP response monitor in addition to the ping monitor, so I'll be on top of it more quickly next time.

    Thanks!
    Jeff

And now that you've found it, add it to your favourites on BJ so you can go there again if needed...

I know what you mean, Queen. Have you ever checked out the Women Who Ride forum? It's a little better because it's mostly women. It's NOT up to the standards of our own TE forum, but an alternative place to go if you have to go there.

I used to check out that board but Delphi forums are such a pain that I finally just gave up. The guys on my MC site are. for the most part, decent...but there's always at least a few that try to out do one another for the title of "most offensive".

I'm just soooo glad TE is back, thanks Jeff!!!

Thanks Jeff for kicking the server thing in the pants.

I thought for sure I was going nuts - you know the sign of insanity is when you do the same thing over and over again expecting a different result? I get back from being away for a week and couldn't get my TE fix!
