I've never ridden Knoxville. Last year after Tam I decided I was done for a bit. I've ridden parts of the course, but not Knoxville Rd.

Holy moly! You must enjoy Purgatory! Ack! You're a bigger person than I am for doing so many hills. Congratulations on a great ride.

Knoxville Rd isn't hard - just CREEPY. There's a bit of climb at the end but it is short. I think the tough part will be that bit up to Cobb Mtn (Siegler Canyon/Loch Lomond) from the side we did it at Davis this year.

It would be nice to do it that same day.... I plan on starting VERY early to get as much riding out of the way in the dark/dawn so I can take it easy when it gets hot.

The staff ride starts at 4:15. I think that means I'll need to get up at 1:30! Or get a hotel room up there. I never sleep well in hotels before a big ride. We'll see.

I'm so glad you're back on your bike BG! I'm not crazy - really. Insane yes, crazy no.

I was going to go with "nutter of the finest order", but I'll just say "well done" instead.
Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.
