Sorry you have had this trouble yet again. It's one of my phobias. It would be terrible to know an intruder had rifled through my belongings, let alone stolen my stuff.

Has anyone out there thought of having a very loud barking dog sound (complemented by scratching toe-nail sounds) on a tape which is linked to the alarm system, so that it is activated when an intruder is breaking in? Perhaps I should patent the idea!

Hope the police manage to nab them and give them a hard time.

Our police have a car which is set up so that the doors lock as soon as the car ignition is turned. They leave the car in a public place with the keys in and a laptop on the back seat. Our small town recently had this car used by our local police and they quickly caught two people trying to steal either the laptop or both! Just imagine their surprise when they can't start the car or even get out of it!!!

That set-up cars are called Rat Traps - very appropriately named.
