I don't think the Mr. gets it. There are several local people that will be participating but no one that I know well.

    Does anyone know anyone participating?
Oh, and aren't you the one winning your AG in tri's? HHHHUUUUMMMM?

I've only done the three local sprints and there's not much competition in my age group.

Anyway, my background is marathons. I've done 7....but I've had stress fracture issues in my feet from running. I had a stress fracture in my left heel bone and then I had an avulsion fracture in my right second metatarsal. I had to have surgery to remove the bone sliver. Sooooo, I don't aspire to ever run another marathon. I would, however, like to do a HIM. I think these old bones could handle that.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to going this afternoon. It's a 90 minute drive from here.

I'll probably get emotional. I think anyone who completes the 140.6 is just incredibly awe-inspiring! My hats off to all you ladies who have.

    I'll be thinking of Wahine!!!

I handed out medals at the Memphis marathon when I couldn't participate. (I was training for that when I broke my heel bone). It was just incredible.
