    The big trail ride!!

Well, Wednesday night was another ride with guys (one other girl was there). I love those guys - they are such a great gang!! I rode well - solid mid pack and sometimes at the tail of the fast pack....and DH was there, too! yay! He works shift work, so for two weeks I get to fend for myself - good thing I like these guys! heehee

Oh, and I got to ride my Santa Cruz, too! yahoo! what a great bike she is!! I love riding her!! we had the heavier wheels from my Torrent on her, though as we haven't renewed the Stan's in her tires yet, and they are a good 2 pounds heavier. This week I'll have her closer to race weight so it will be SWEET!!

We did about 25 km in 2 hours 20 minutes of riding. The group is sooooo fast this year - usually that's a mid-season ride, not this early in the season. Of course, the weather is amazing - we've been near 30 C all week - unheard of in April! too wild! I do hope we get some rain, the fire danger is worrisome! In the meantime, the riding is amazing!!

Love the trails! Love the dirt! Love the roots! Love the logs! Love thetrees! Love the rocks! Love the new bridge across the stream! love it love it love it! Love the little scratch and bruise on my arm from scraping a tree at a pretty good pace and keeping going - no stop and check or anything! yahoo!!!

I still have a Big Stupid Grin all these days later! Hopefully in the next week I'll be through with the crazy busy stuff and be able to ride ride ride ride ride

    Namaste,
    ~T~

Sounds like a wonderful weekend! I'm living through you vicariously, LBTC. We're still stuck in rain, snow, wind, yuck, yuck, yuck. Forcast for the next 10 days - rain and 50 F almost every day. Time to put the Tour de France video back in the machine and hop on the trainer! Keep up your reports because it gives us hope!
