From what I've read (and experienced) it helps inthe larger sizes to go for "encapsulating" styles rather than "squashing" styles ....

I've tried the Enell bra (aka the Last Resort Bra at title 9), but right now I'm quite happy with the Maia bra by Moving Comfort ...

Well, it's interesting. Yesterday racing traffic home, I was in the drops (with a regular bra!) and didn't notice any banging. But then on my evening ride I got it in my head to challenge another rider on the road. I went into my drops, and then just kept getting lower and lower as I went harder and harder (there was a bit of a headwind so I noticed some aero benefit). And my knees hit harder and harder as a result! I may never find a solution to this dilemma.

PS - I passed him. Didn't stay away cuz I was afraid I'd dropped my riding partner and sat up, but it was a bit of a thrill anyway.

    Thanks for a smile today!

This thread is really cracking me up. Today my hubby and I went on a 40 mile road ride and I kept scoping out my knee and chest clearance whenever I went into my drops. My hubby caught me once and asked what the heck I was doing and I said, "I just want to see how close my knees come to my boobs, can you tell me if they are close honey, like almost touching? barely touching? what?". . . . he just looked at me kind of strange. Well I have to report that my itty bitty tiny ones never got close but now my hubby thinks I am suffering some form of menopause weirdness. sigh

Ohh Susan - too precious!.....thanks for the laughs.

I had this visual: me riding along seeing you and your husband staring intently at the side of your bike so I pull along side "is everything ok?" and having you answer "oh yeah everythings fine, we're just checking out knee to boob clearance"!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
