I found this at the Tri WA site today..Just an update.
Tameka Update

Hi All,

Further to the emails and interviews I have done over the past 24 hours, I have the following information on Tameka’s condition as of 6am Thursday Morning, (Australian Time). The following has been confirmed:

She has 2 cracked vertebrae (T6 and T7), a punctured lung, 4 broken ribs, broken nose (has had surgery on this), stitches to her face and similar skin lacerations to what was reported. She DOES NOT have a fractured scull and there is no associated infection. She has swelling on the back part of her brain and will remain in the induced coma for at least another 10 days. They are reporting no long term injuries at this stage. They are looking at the possibility of surgery on her spine, but Leigh did not have enough information on that, at this time.

Her condition is listed as stable.

At this stage she will not be coming home anytime within the 4-6weeks. Tameka’s husband Leigh is now with her and that is how I am getting most of my correspondence.

We at this stage have no further information on how the accident happened and I don’t envisage this changing until we can get a description from Tameka herself.

Her parents have also been in contact with the Australian Embassy and they have been very good in providing them with feedback regarding her current condition along with Leigh..

As you can appreciate I have been inundated with phone calls from media outlets, television, radio and print and of course friends and family and this is proving difficult for me to handle as I have never been in this position. After spending nearly 6 hours on the phone today I am happy to keep you all posted, as I know how important Tameka is to you all, on many different levels

Thank you all for your concern, all emails and correspondence has been passed on and your phone calls are appreciated.

I will update when I have more information.

Cheers
