    Pictures!!!!

Here are some pictures. Sorry they are not the best. I was in a rush. The crew were busy (horsing around...ahem!), and a bike on a stand is not the best location for pictures...and I didn't want to ask them to take it down.
The bike will have the 700-series Shimano compact crankset, as the swanky new Ultegra stuff won't be available as after-market until after Interbike (late September?). Mike says he'll swap it out with that crankset then.
But...kicker of it all...he says he'll have it built up for TOMORROW!! Wowza!
I'll bring the Axiom over tomorrow night so they can swap out the Garmin (cadence etc) and it should be good to go.
    Can't wait to ride it!!

Whoa- looks gorgeous- you must be SO EXCITED!!!!!

The seat post and the head tube look almost perfectly vertical....is that for a reason?- never seen a bike that way!

So in the end, did you go for the really high end components?

I think that's just the way the bench clamp holds it. Notice that the chain stays are not parallel to the ground.
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

That's exactly it. I don't recall the angles, but it's pretty standard, and will get that info with the owner's stuff tonight. The top tube actually has about a 9 (maybe 12?) degree slope to it, and it's straight on the clamp. It's a pretty compact frame.

Thanks all. I'm totally excited. I have the truck with me today and expect to pick it up tonight! Other than the 700 crankset (b/c Shimano doesn't make DuraAce in compact), it will have all DA stuff and nice Kysrium wheels. I'll be taking out on the N2 ride Saturday a.m. Looking forward to that...but I may have to do a shorter shake down ride tomorrow or Friday evening.

What's going on with the seat tube? Is it carbon?

    Built up pics!!

    It's as yummy as licorice!
Yup, the ID8 has carbon seat tube and seat stays. The rest is double butted ti.
I put Easton EC70 Wing handlebars on it. I had these on the Axiom and I quite like them. The seatpost is a bit of an experiment ( ) - an Easton EC90 - all carbon, even the seat clamp. The clamp is very flexy, so I don't know how it's going to be for seated climbs or hard riding.
Here are some pics. It's very different looking vs. both my Axiom and DH's ID8. I took it for a ride around the 'hood. Very stiff - much stiffer than the Axiom, and I think some of the front end vibration I feel vs. the Axiom is due to the wheels - Mavic Ksyrium SSC-SL's. It's also got an very upright ride. And, even tho' it looks like a tiny bike, it feels very big. So...the response to it, after about 2 miles is..."Hmmmmm" It will be interesting to take it out for a long ride.

I hope the "hmmmm" turns into "all right!" soon. It definitely looks different than your other Seven. Very, very cool to have a bike made just for you. Congratulations!
