Well, it was not good news. They took the mass out on BIL's colon, but found that 3/4 of the liver was involved, that the bowel was ruptured, and there was involvement in the pancreas as well. Talked to my parents late last night after the surgery and my sister this morning. She is SOooo sad. So am I.

Now, I guess, it is chemo and radiation to try to prolong life. I guess that is what he will want to do? Who knows.

    Life sometimes is not fair.

I want for a 5 hour ride today up on the mountain with some girlfriends so that helped me feel a little better.

Thank you all for your good thoughts and concerns.

Oh, Jan, I am sorry. My family has lots of experience with colon cancer. All of my best wishes are going out to you guys.

    Jan, I am so sorry.

Is there anything they think they can do? City of Hope in Calif works wonders sometimes too...and Loma Linda is in SoCal too. You're kind of close.

    Good luck and hugs.

I thought of you both when we lit our evening candle.

Thinking of you both, sending much aroha and holding you close in my thoughts as you face this difficult race you both aim to win together.

    Sad news indeed.
    Thoughts and prayers continuing.

Please can you give me (us) a name. First name will do - I am a bit spiritually challenged you know and "it" does seem to go better if I can put a name in there. And maybe a little story about him that is typical of who he is, what he does or how he does it - just a few lines...
