I signed up for the HnH today! No hotel rooms available so we will be staying at the Y. That's part of the whole experience IMO. I'll be sure to take some ear plugs. Do you all know your bib numbers? It would probably be unlikely that I could find you among 10,000 riders ...but who knows.

Well, I have bowed out of the ride. I have some big things to pay for in August and I couldn't justify spending $300 for the weekend.

With that said, Heidi might need a buddy to ride with. She's WONDERFUL to ride with. I'm really disappointed I won't be making it this year. Last year, she and I actually found each other at the start and rode together the whole way.

So, if you want a riding buddy... hit her up vis IM!

My husband and I will be going again this year. We are staying with one of the Host Families. This will be a new experience! Have fun everyone!

I will be out there again this year. I thought I would be there alone when both a friend of mine and my brother confirmed last week that they will be joining me. Now my hotel room is looking a little small!

You are welcome to ride with us, but we will not be doing the mass start. We will probably start a block up from the start line....right after the racers. We will keep a quick pace the first 60 miles (stop maybe once to refill...aim for 3.5 hours) to Burkburnet. After that...we will coast and take our time.

If you are interested, let me know and we can arrange to meet up the night before at the Expo. Even if you don't want to ride together...I think it would be cool to actually meet someone from the forum! I lived in East Texas for a couple years before moving to Dallas...and would love to reminisce about the piney woods.
