Today we did a 53 mile ride to the end of the cape cod canal from woods hole and back. We stopped at our regular fish market for lunch in Bourne, and didn't bring a bag for carrying fish home, just thought we'd have lunch there, but they had a great price on haddock fillets so DH stuffed a 3 pound package in his back pocket and road 20 miles home with them. They sure were yummy! I had a crab cake for lunch, just enough carbs to fuel my longer rides without raising my blood sugar too high, especially the good ones that are mostly crab with little filler. There was a lot of wind, so this ride felt harder on my body than the 68 miler we did to P-town a couple days ago. All in all, a nice vacation day.

Got up a little late, grabbed my gear and a banana, and started riding. It was 92 F and I started riding. 40 miles later I roasted in 98 F weather. Ack! Note to self: must leave earlier.
