    Yay Levi! Exciting Party news

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I live in Levi's "hometown" Santa Rosa and of course the city is planning a big celebration with him when he arrives back from Europe. I just found out tonight that my husbands band got the gig!! YAY!!!!

So I assume you are a "band-aid" for your husbands group and will naturally be there??? And get to meet Levi by association...

    Too cool

    "I will try again tomorrow".

WoooHooo! Have fun at the party! I'm from SR too. Been away so long, tho', that I didn't know Levi was from there until I read it in the PD (local paper) on line a few days ago. What's your DH's band? My DB plays in numerous bands in the area (Michael Barklay Blues Band, Gatorbeat, Souljoy, and others including now his own that I haven't heard a name for).
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

    Ooooo, cool.
    We want details. And pics!
I've been rooting for Levi for years (it's kind of been like rooting for the Boston Red Sox ), so I was THRILLED that he at long last got on the podium!

DoW, I think her DH knows our DB. Hey, do they need an extra piano player to just oh, kinda sit in?

It's on August 26th. My husband was hooked up through some racing connections (for once his music playing and his racing connect in a good way). The band is the Pulsators. And, yes Trek & Duck, your DB played with the Pulsators for a few gigs, though his name is slipping my mind.

OF COURSE I will be there. This is supposed to be a meet and greet for the public, so this would be the chance to meet him. Having access to the "backstage area" might help though. When he won the Tour of California they tried to hold something in a local brewpub and the line went around the block. The city decided to do it up right this time. It'll be a big outdoor event downtown.

PS: "Band-aids" (as seen in Almost Famous) are groupies. Very different from those who are the significant other of a musician. Because I've had to deal with that error for years, I no longer take offense. Others might though.

Hey Deanna- Do you have times for this yet? It's a SUnday, so kinda hard to coordinate a late flight back to Phoenix. But I may be able to do it if the timing is right. You said it's going to be downtown? So is it an outdoor thing then? All these questions.. Sorry! I would just love to be there. I'm helping to put on a local kids tri on the 25th, but I should be able to do both.

I'll check up on it and post it. I believe it will be in the 2pm-5pm time.
