No, it's okay Ruth, nothing bad happened. Actually it was a surprisingly good fall. I was in NY and got off-route and onto some lichen and a hold came off under my foot. My partner had a good catch and all my pieces held, I just hit a bit of a ledge on the way down with my ankle. I'm really sorry to have scared you!

I went to the doc's the other day and they didn't seem too concerned about it, gave me an xray but I haven't heard my results yet and I'm able to weight it, just have to walk kinda gingerly on it. It's just bad timing for the tri, if it were the weekend of th 11th I think I'd definitely be fine for it, but as of now I'm really marginal on whether I want to stress it more or if I just want to do the race at a really easy pace and walk most of the run.

If you were just cycling, I'd say, get your ankle strapped well and do it anyway - we've had a few turn up at club racing with ankles in casts or heavily strapped...

but running on it? I know its gutting, but you might just have to not do it - I don't suppose you could convince officials you need a runner? Could you bike and swim?

    Wishing you fast healing, Kimmy

    I know I know!

Get a skate attached to your foot... or a skateboard... and rooooolllll the run!

Sorry... I know thats not helpful, it just made a fun picture in my head

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

Haha, lol now i'm having visions of getting those silly skate/shoes and doing the run in them! I'd likely give myself another sprained ankle!
