I posted this in another section, but I can't find how to get the straps off! They have reflectors on top of them and there must be screws under the reflectors that hold the straps on. I can't figure out how to get to the reflectors off to get to the screws. I can't see any screw heads.

Oh - you can also take off the straps and still leave the toe clips on. They'll be safer for you to use, and you'll still get a little benefit from having the clips on.

Did you understand the flip the stem part? you turn it upside down so the the angle it up rather than down.

yes, both my bikes are silver (have silver on them) I'm a silversmith. I think that mine may be a later model than yours. It's silver with black and blue stickers/stripes.

You could just give yourself a little more time with the straps. I really haven't had any trouble with mine at all--I've only been using them since March. But I DID loosen them way up when I started out.

On my 1000 the pedals have a little dealy sticking out in the middle of the bottom of the platform which lets you turn the pedals over and slide your foot inside in one swift motion. I taught myself to use that right away, and then I taught myself that I would be pulling my foot backwards to dismount. So far, so good. ::::working spells to keep the jinx away:::

    Silver, nice ride!!!

At first I didn't know if I liked the color. I was going for the price. It's really growing on me now.

I understand exactly what you are saying. I just don't know how or where you do that.
