Makbike, thanks for the reminder. If I weren't already doing BRAT from September 15-22, I would do the OKHT, since I so thoroughly enjoyed the Horsey Hundred. Maybe next year. In any event, I'll be at the Horsey, God willing, next year. Perhaps we can all meet up then......

    Have a great OKHT though.

THe 9th is SilverSon's 14th birthday...and he's interested in at least doing the 50 miler to celebrate!

So, the Silver's may be in!

    Come on down!

The 50 mile route is a great route. I'm giving some serious thought to the century. My 15 year old nephew and brother will be riding it and well I can't let a 15 year old out ride me. I haven't made my mind up and may not until the night before. So many options and all of them are great ones.

I hope the Silver family journeys down to participate for it is a great weekend.

How fast a rider is he? I might be able to entice SilverSon if he thinks there's someone his age to shoot for the century with.

Maybe I can do the century on Saturday and then to the 50 miler on Sunday

Grr... I had planned on doing that ride. I've heard it's really great. BUT.. I'm helping with the Davis Phinney Sunflower Ride here in Cincinnati that weekend. Oh well, at least I'll get to meet him and I hope to get Phil Liggett's autograph too. He typically comes to this ride!

Mr. Silver I really do not know how fast my nephew is on his bike. He just finished an 1800 bike trip with my brother but they kept their average speeds fairly low each day. He is one fit young man for he loves to lift weights, play baseball, soccer ad ride. I do know that I can't keep up with my brother for he is one speedy guy on his bike. However, I'm thinking if his son rides he will slow the pace down and I might be able to ride with them for part of the ride.
