Gloves with good padding between forefinger and thumb?

Looking for gloves (either fingerless or full-fingered) that have some padding in the area between the forefinger and the thumb.

My Pearl Izumi air-gel gloves don't have enough padding there (and in general seem to be falling apart very quickly!).

    thanks in advance!

I've been wearing the Pearl Izumi Gel Lite Race gloves this summer, and they've been doing the job for me -- at least in that area of my hands! I started the season prettty miserable in that part of my hands, so I'm sympathetic to your search for padding.

Some of my occasional discomforts come from where on the bars I hold on, and for how long. I started the season in a pair of Specialized gloves I'd been wearing for a year on my upright comfort bike, and when they didn't seem to do the job, I tried another pair of Specialized gloves, a step up from those. The more I learn on this road bike of mine, though, and the stronger I get, I'm starting to think I'll be using those other gloves again!

(I learned a new thing this morning, trying something I saw the boys on THE TOUR doing: I shifted where on the hoods I hold on, and it was AMAZING what that did for my hands, and even my shoulders!)

We can do a lot with "adapting" our gear to our needs, but if there's one thing I've learned this summer, it's that I have to fix ME as well as adjusting the bike and accessories!

    OOH! I forgot:

One of the "adaptive" things we did that helped that "web" in my hand was angling the handlebars a little higher, which shifted my body weight some, and took one HECKUVA load off!

This was even better than the glove change!

I have a pair of PI's that I can seem to retire so I use it for indoors on the trainer. I recently picked up some Specialized gloves and it has padding in 3 different regions--the base of the palm, near the fingers, and the base of the thumb. It really does absorb vibration and I can comfortably cycle long distances with this glove.

I have two pairs of PI Gel Vent Pro gloves. They have quite a bit of padding between the thumb and forefinger.

I can't recommend any glove, because the one I liked is no longer made. i don't like the new replacement (it was a PI)
I am hoping that this winter they will come out with some other stuff.

I find that an overall padding as opposed to the ones that have like two or three seperate pads in your palm work better for me. When they have seperate pads it seems to cause different and very uncomfortable pressure points. Part of my remedy was that I bought an ITM K-Sword handlebar. And then I found that the cheapest pair of gloves that I have actually feels the best.

I have 2 pairs of gloves that have padding between thumb and index.. One is made by Nashbar, some womens elite glove I think, and the other is made by Specialized Body Geometry glove. I rode the other day in another pair of gloves that didn't have that padding there, guess I didn't realize how nice that padding is until now. HOpe this helps.
