I love the Mission Inn and Mt. Rubidoux! I live in Riverside. If you ever ride past there again, lock up your bike, make your way up the stairs and get on the roof of the Mission Inn. It's beautiful, and there are so many rooms to explore.

the pictures are sensational. I am sorry you are giving up the R12 but i do understand the incredible time drain as I am witnessing Raleighdon (who at least has a wife to help him out)
what's Fazoli's? so you didn't finish, how close were you?
Fazoili's is a fast-food pasta chain. I like them
I was 2 miles awaybut it was a climb (up Lytle Creek Rd) and I still really, really suck at climbing. C'est La Vie
Okay, first of all, Fazoli's ROCKS!!!
Second of all, I love all your pics and your description of your route. I could picture of lot of it because I'm familiar with most of the areas you described. We almost moved to beautiful Mockingbird Canyon (the country part of Riverside) when we ended up in Rancho Cucamonga instead.
What a crazy long ride you did, and ending with Neely's Corner.
We rode past Neely's Corner yesterday (without going to Riverside and LaVerne first!). We rode up to the fire station on the tandem. We planned to go all the way to the end of Lytle Creek, but Dh realized we didn't have time.
It sounds like you are making some good adjustments in your life. You mentioned religion. What church do you go to?
St. Mark's Episcopal in Upland. it's on 16th aka Bas-a-lin-a![]()
