Indeed! DH and I were just puzzling over the standings. Did Cadel do 2nd in today's stage or is he now 2nd overall?? Either way, he's who I'm cheering for.....

Thanks TH! Obviously, we don't follow the racing closely, but I liked Cadel as a mountain bike racer, and am really happy to see him doing so well in the Tour! Besides, there are no Canucks there, so I must cheer for the Aussie!

Mate I dont have TV so I dont get to see a lot of the tour but I follow as much as I can at Velonews. Funny to see how many of the top riders use to be mountain bike racers. Now if only I could stay upright on my mountain bike I might be able to tell if it helps my road riding or not.

    The Day of the Underdogs!

    Vinnie! Vinnie! Vinnie! Vinnie!
    Chicken! Chicken! Chicken! Chicken!

Usually the TT stages are a little dull, but WOW, that was amazing. Vino rode himself right back into contention and Rasmussen pulled out a TT that no one thought he'd be able to ride. That was thrilling, I can't wait for tomorrow and the mountains!!!!

After everything that's happened to him, I'm rooting for Vino. What a courageous, determined rider.

I'm also happy for Cadel---excellent ride today!

Seriously Eden? They're my favourite ones to watch - or any stage where there is a break away and just one guy out front.

But Vino - wasn't he just awesome??? What a ride!

And Rasmussen has shown that he can TT - or maybe it was the power of yellow? Certainly the most significant TT of his career to date!

I think the organisers will get some flack for that course as a TT course... it was NOT safe in the rain, and a TT course needs to be as safe as possible in any conditions cause these guys will be travelling fast. Safe as possible should mean you elimnate the possibility of greasy twisty downhill descents...
