I'll re-post this when I get pictures Sunday

Anyone in the Bay Area want a kitten?

Some kids left a kitten in a basket on my dog walkers porch.

Ah, the joys of being known as an animal lover

She has 5 cats, 3 outdoor kitties and two indoors and says she just can't take another. But she'll keep this one till it's old enough and get it fixed.

She's pretty sure it is a female, dark grey with a white spot on its chest and some white on its stomach. It has greyish green eyes. Very playful and really likes her other cats. A real cutie

I did not know "Bengal" is a breed of cat.
Is it a "type " of cat, like Tortoiseshell
    or
is it an actual breed, like Siamese?

They are only 9 weeks old come this Monday. They're half Bengal and Bengals are big cats. They were only 7 weeks old when we got them but were the same size as a 9 - 10 week old DSH (Moggy).

One of the kittens is Ian's (Harley). Ian wanted the kitten as a companion for Chico. Chico is really good with the kittens, plays with them, washes them, curls up with them which is really nice that they all get on together. I haven't introduced the kittens to the dog yet. That should be fun They get their first set of vaccinations on Friday coming so I'm keeping them away from the rest of the cats until the vaccinations are all done.

Ian is doing quite well at the moment and my brother has a date for the first batch of tests next week so it's really just a waiting game for us at the moment.

Zen they're an actual breed like Siamese etc. They were originally a cross with an Asian Snow Leopard and a DSH, usually an Oriental, hence the blue eyes and spots. There are two patterns types - spotted and marbled. Ours are marbled but their bellies are spotted. The males grow larger than an normal DSH. The Bengal's weight for a male is between 16 and 20 lbs but they're tall, long cats and have a slim build. There was one recently found in a village near here. Sadly it had been knocked down by a car. Our newspaper printed a photo of it on the front page thinking it was some kind of wild cat. When the owner saw it she realised it was her cat

Ours are going to be indoor cats but we are going to train them to walk on a harness and lead as soon as they grow into the harness and lead (won't be long) so we can take them out under supervision.

They've also just discovered the curtains (drapes) and think nothing of running up our legs too and oh! they've got sharp little claws.

Our extended family now consists of 12 cats, 15 snakes and 1 dog

There are a lot of unwanted, unloved bikes out there - go on give a bike a good home
