Wore my Eurohalter to work today. Cool! Literally! I wore it under a linen jacket, and I looked so cool, and I was comfy in our little heat wave.

Later, when I was dashing around being a civilian, I kept my wallet in the pocket. (my work pants don't have good pockets.) Man, I love zipped pockets.

Finally took it off to put on my jammies (Ibex Swtichback pullover over a cotton t-shirt). Unless my Eurohalter is really stinky, I'll likely wear it tomorrow, too.

    I have no pride.

I really like the one I have as well. It's good for running too. (It was perfect for bike commuting to a group run in really hot weather a few weeks ago.)

    A couple of comments:

    - Size is small- I'm normally a medium and had to send it back and get a large (mine is last year's model, I'm assuming the sizing hasn't changed).

    - Coverage is less than a typical cycling jersey- so if you're going to be self-conscious about wearing less than the standard run of the mill jersey, this isn't the right top.

I bought the Clincher this year, because of the "padded" cups. Generally, i don't like shelf bras or even sports bras because I need the molded cups so i don't look totally flat chested. But, I don't like the Clincher. The pockets are nice, but the neck/halter piece starts looking kind of funny by the end of my ride. It sort of rides up and is sitting higher up on my neck and I look like it's strangling me. I wore it on a long hot ride last week and I probably won't wear it again.
My Hind sport bras with molded padded cups are falling apart. I have bought 2 other types advertised as molded cups that turned out to have no padding. I guess I should actually go to a store instead of buying on the Internet.

Robyn, have you tried the Champion Shape series bras? They have moulded cups/a little padding and look like they'd be cute on (haven't personally tried them on -- I've never really considered padded sports bras because of the heat factor). Also Moving Comfort makes one with light padding -- I think it's called the Cameo bra but I could be wrong...

Liza, I looked at the Champion bras on some underwear web site. There were a few with the "Shape" name in them, but some had underwire and a couple looked like they were not really sports bras. I don't need compression! Is there a particular model you are talking about?

Darn . . Large and Xtra Large are gone! This is just what I was looking for and am sorry to have missed it. I do appreciate the info submitted here about the Terry top so will check there next. Thanks!

    Slight hijack...

Has anyone tried the presta tank by terry? Is it similar in fit/support to the eurohalter?

    Thanks!

I have 2 of the schrader tanks and really like them as well (and the sizing is more accurate). I have a vague memory of ordering a presta tank and then discovering that it was too tight and sending it back (I don't remember why I didn't order the larger size- I think I may just have decided not to bother).

What about just leaving the pocket unzipped? The zipper is one of the soft-ish ones that isn't scratchy when you reach through it. The pocket is fairly deep, so I think leaving it unzipped it would still hold things well. (it's a bag pocket, hanging from the inside of the shirt, not like jersey pockets that are sort of appliqued to the outside of the shirt. If that would bug you, it might not work anyway.)

I have a Presta tank. It's quite form fitting and supportive, but not as modest in cut as the Eurohalter. I definitely wouldn't wear it to work or out in public other than to ride or run in. It's clearly a fitness top, more like a long sports bra. I am a B-cup and it definitely smashes the girls a bit. Wouldn't be good for someone bigger than a B, I don't think, but it is supportive. Mine is a couple of years old; they may not have the exact same styling now.

Also, the pockets are tiny and too high up to be any good at all. I don't even use them; I use the pocket in my Camelbak instead.

The Euro halter is hand's down my favorite hot weather tank. I have two of them and wear them all the time. The cut is very flattering for your arms and shoulders. They've been washed repeated times and seem to be holding up really well.

I agree that it runs small. I have virtually no chest, so the small works on me, but if you're better endowed, I would agree that you might have to go up a size.

I hope the folks at Terry introduce more colors and designs for next year. I'd buy them.

I'm not at all well endowed, and I still had to go up a size.

That would be a yes. We just saw Terry's Spring 2008 line today, in fact, and the Eurohalter will be produced in 4 prints plus black. There's a 5th print that they are using for something else, that I am trying to get them to make a Eurohalter out of as well.

I found one a month or so ago at a LBS for 50% off. I snatched it, I love it as well. I even wore it to a triathlon last weekend, it works great, keeps it's shape. I love it so much, I will totally spend $50 on another one.
