newbiechick, were you looking to perhaps get in a ride or two whilst here? If you let us know, perhaps some of us can meet you. I've got plenty of tiny little bikes to loan out.

Is there a TE ride and/or TdF viewing at the Summit Public House soon? I've got "grand-dog" caretaking on Saturday, but I'd be up for a ride and a cold brewski with TE women on Sunday...?

Trek and I will be there Saturday 21st, for the free BBQ and TdF. Unless it's crazy crowded. Or unless we get distracted by something else.

Hey, East Hill, thanks for the invitation, but I'm afraid it won't work this time around.
I'm going to a reunion that weekend (27-29), so will be pretty busy ... then on the 30th my husband and I start a 4-day bike tour (with Bicycle Adventures) on the San Juan Islands. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! It's an "easy" tour ... but it's the one we could fit into our schedule ... and I'm still a fairly inexperienced rider so I figured this would be safe for my first time out on a tour.
Next time I make it out that way, I'd love to arrange to hook up with some locals for a ride. Thanks for the idea!

Too bad! I think a reunion will keep you plenty busy--family or school?
East Hill
Actually ... not family or school. When I was growing up, my parents worked with a non-profit organization trying to make the world a better place--kind of peace corps meets missionary meets commune.(an inaccurate but appropriately odd description). The reunion is with old friends whose parents did the same work. We all grew up together and are kind of like extended family in a quirky way.
I know, TMI. But you asked.
