I know as you read the subject, you immediately knew the answer. Yes that's right - broken collar bone. We are three weeks out of our 5 day trip in Fruita, CO with Colorado Backcountry Biker. This is the trip we have planned: http://www.backcountrybiker.com/tabegauche.html

Well, we heard from our 4th rider yesterday. Seems she had the nerve to crash, break her frame, and break her collar bone Can you imagine that?

We originally had 6 women scheduled for this ride. We ended up paying with 4 women - now we are at 3!!! We'll still go but it would be so much more fun with more people. This ride originally costs $650 - we are only paying $250. Yes that is right $250!

Any takers!!! You can meet us there. We will be leaving St. Louis the afternoon of Aug 3. That gets us there Saturday mid day. Our trip is Sun Aug 5 - Thur Aug 9.

Ooooh, that sounds so sweet but my kid is certainly not ready for that kind of trek yet (tandem mtb). Even starting from town. Have lots of fun and good luck on finding a good fourth.

Have you tried St. Louis Revolution for some people http://www.stlrevolution.com/ ? Good range of women mtb'rs there.

Oh, nevermind, just found your post. How'd I miss that? Well, heck then. If you do the riverfront rides and you see the only mtb tandem w/4 year old, wave, if I'm not totally oblivious from lack of O2 I'll do the same.
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.

singletrackmind - We originally found all of our riders from the Revolution connection. We are hoping to get a fourth.

I agree - how inconsiderate! She could have chosen to break that AFTER the team event!

Seriously, hope you find someone else to bring your team number back up. Good luck with the event too

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".
