Hey, this was an awesome report! You did seriously accomplish something!

Also, thank you for making my day with your hilarious story about the guy and your shirt.

It's a great ride report, Dex, and see--you MADE it! I love that. Congratulations. It's quite a feeling, isn't it? Well done.

Saw a guy at U Village today with an STP 07 shirt. He said it got KINDA HOT on Saturday, like 89-ish. Oog.

Thanks, everyone! I really am fairly chuffed with myself for making it through.

Saturday definitely got pretty warm. And on Sunday, since it was fairly well on into the afternoon when I finally got there (around 3:00), the bank thermometer signs in/around St. Helens were reading in the upper 80's as well. Not unbearable, but definitely not *comfortable*.

The day of the shirt comment, it was the Terry Eurohalter in the Yitro print. The print is pretty eyecatching on its own, really. And then you stuff the fat girl body into it...people look. But it's so nice for riding on hot days that I usually just suck it up and deal with the stares. (I was clearly just feeling a little punchy at that point...another thing I noticed happens when I've been on the bike for awhile.)

hehehe, you know, the guy who made the comment was probably doing the 'Asian girl' stereotype (like the moron I work with)--that is, the shy demure type who will giggle and blush and not call the dude on it.

    Way to go, Dex!

great ride report! congrats! I rode through st. helen's at about 5:30 pm on Saturday and Bank thermometer said 91 degrees. Way, way too hot after 170 miles. It made those last 30 miles pure torture!
