I would say so. The hills on Mercer Island are pretty stiff.

Do you think the 520 closure would affect us? I was talking to DH and he thought that even though the I-90 traffic would be to the side, it would be a parking lot and we'd be breathing fumes.
Also be aware that there's a triathalon tomorrow - it shouldn't affect the bridge too much since they'll be using the HOV lane for the event, but there may be some overlap coming off?

Oh thanks Eden and teigyr--I had not taken those two things into account.
Well, there's always Cedar River Park to Maple Valley, then perhaps over into Auburn on Green River Road, back along Interurban/GRT? Not quite as strenuous as Mercer Island, but far less issues with traffic.
And, if you'd like, Kent Cornucopia days is going on, so we could stop by there on the way back to Renton.

Sounds like similar to things we've done already? Might be good! I love that Green River Road. Would this involved the (un)Recreational Corridor? I think this is an experience that DH needsYeah, I'm evil. What are the Cornucopia Days?
hehehe, yes the 277th Recreational Corridor would be included. We would go left at the bottom instead of right (if we went into Auburn to make a longer ride).
Kent Cornucopia Days is a big street fair, held downtown. I've never managed to go before, even though I've lived here since 1987. I always had Tuesday/Wednesday off, so never bothered before.

So 8am at the Cedar River trail? Or somewhere better? I'd probably just park in the same lot as last time because I know how to do that![]()
