    I run because . . .

    . . . I can, and because it's who I've become.

Haven't run since last Saturday but have been riding and spinning this week. The old feet will hit the pavement tomorrow morning and I can't wait.

I ran for the first time in a couple of weeks today - just 2.8 miles on the treadmill, but it felt good. It's too hot to ride outside, to me (highs in the 90s).

I ran about 2.75 miles today. It's been about my normal run, 2-3x a week. I realized today that it's time to extend it! I actually felt GOOD. I was able to maintain my heart rate slightly above what I had before and it was ok. Wow! So my 1/2 hour run now needs to go to longer. Yay Oh and I only walked twice but it was only to lower my HR, I wasn't really all that tired.

    Running? What's running?

I started out as a runner so I'll keep running as long as I can. I got tied into tri because my body gets very grumpy if all I do is run. I fell in love with tri for haw strong I feel and the way that the cross training keeps me relatively injury free.

Not getting enough running in as of late. Must remedy this problem.

    Having said that....

Track workout on Wed last week, about 6 mi total with 4 miles at quicker than race pace (intervals) and 14 mi LSD yesterday.

Depending on how it goes, I may do a 2 miler off the bike today. I wouldn't bet on it though, it's super windy and I think the bike will wipe me out enough thank-you.

Yes. I just started a couple months ago and have had this exact feeling.

I am signed up for a duathlon this fall, and that's why I've begun running. The first few times out were not enjoyable, but I have improved immensely and am happy to say I am enjoying it. When the weather gets nice I get excited to get out and take advantage whenever I can.
