Post 2007 Tour de France Prologue Prediction

    To disable ads, please log-in.

It looks like TE isn't going to have an official TdF contest this year, so I decided to start this thread to at least predict the Prologue.

So who will win the Prologue?

Since I started the thread, I get to pick first. I would like it if DZ wins, but my prediction is Fabian Cancellara by .62 seconds.

    Your thoughts?

Um... let's say David Millar in 8:46 .

What schwag will you be giving away? (And the respect and admiration of your peers just isn't enough.)

I'll go with Bradley Wiggins by 2 seconds to give the other prologue-y Brit a vote.

Since none of you are picking him, DZ by a mere 2 seconds. That is just who I want to see in yellow. If I were putting money on it, Cancellara.

Hehe. I have no clue who will win the Prologue, but I can't wait to see Schmalz's review of it

I’m still new to following the racing circuit, so I don’t have a favorite rider yet...

But I just realized that I have the Versus Channel! I’m already sucked in to the prologue...so much for running errands this morning . I will now stop bad-mouthing my cable provider (at least until The Tour is over).

I'm housesitting for a friend who has CABLE, so I was able to watch some of the prologue.

The only thing that tore me away from TdF was that I needed to go back to my own house because I really NEEEDED some coffee. (and breakfast and a shower and clean clothes, but really it's all about the coffee)

There isn't one Canadian in the pack (not surprising, we love our dirt over here); so I'll be watching Cadel Evans. If you can't find a Canuck, an Aussie will do in a pinch

That's how I feel as a kiwi about Australians . And why I have been talking up Cadel Evans for months.
Tho' Julian Dean (New Zealand, Credit Agricole) spoke really well at the Presentation last night about being Thor's lead-out man.

A beautiful day in London and wonderful riding by Cancellara. Did you see that custom rainbow helmet, btw?
Did anyone see UKElephant in the crowds?
Tomorrow will be lovely - there is nothing like the English Countryside (apart from the French countryside of course). Eurosport is showing 6 (yes six) hours of TdF - the whole stage .

Wow... Cancellara... you see the thighs on that man?? Two b****y great big powerhouses... just so impressive.

That bit of film as he came in to the finsih line - oh wow, I would love to know what power he was outputting - that man is a machine.

I'm wrapped for Hincapie to be placed... but wow, am so impressed with Cancellara.

Didn't some of those guys have low front ends? Just wondering if I can flip my stem sooner than summer... hmmmm....

But Cancellara... 24 hours or so later and I am still well-impressed... thats like... 22kms faster an hour than I can TT at!!! What thighs... And what a heart that man must have.

Like Kiwi... no NZers and an Ocker will do, then prob a Canadian...
And wasn't the weather great for the prologue and the first day??? They do have summer in England after all - and we saw it on both days it is there!!!

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".
