Yes, the PC version is totally worth it!! I bought it about 5 years ago (I think it was only 19.99 then) and I love it. It's much quicker than the online version and if you use a lot of custom foods...it's so much easier.
I'm sure the new version has even more upgrades since I bought it, but the three things I like best about the version I have are:
1) you can create recipes - you select multiple ingredients and save them as a recipe. Then when you go to use it in your plan, you just recall it and put in the amount you ate.
2) you can drag and drop meals or foods from previous days so that if you eat the same breakfast a few days in a row, you don't have to 'build' it all the time.
3) It can be loaded and reloaded on multiple computers. I don't know if this is still the same, but I have a CD. I've gone through 3 computers since I bought it and all I have to do is transfer my data file and reload the program from the CD...and all my history is still there.
