    Congrats!

I have an allez dolce from a few years ago, and I still love her. It sounds like she fits AND is cute! Lucky girl!! I can't seem to find the right Fit+ cute combo..

Welcome, Teddie. Ooooooo- a new bike, eh? Sounds like a beauty! Yes, take some pics so we can drool over her, too.
Sounds like you're all set to get out there and hit the road. You'll probably be more comfy on the road bike for the longer distances like the MS150. Which one are you planning on doing (the one there in the DFW area)?

    Welcome, Teddie!

The dolce stole my heart, too! I had been thinking about getting a bike for a long time, but I wasn't sure what I wanted or if I wanted to spend big money on a road bike. I read lots of articles on bikes, lurked around on this forum, and checked out the website of a local riding club.

One day I decided to go into my local bike shop and see what they had. It was totally overwhelming!! But, they took my measurements and told me that they had a Dolce in my size in storage and that they would put it together so I could test ride it.

Flash forward to when I went back to see the assembled bike. I still wasn't sure...I was really nervous about riding a road bike...and then they brought down this sweet little ride and it was all over. They sent me on a test ride with knowing glances and I've been hooked since!

Have a GREAT TIME on your new bike!!

Thanks!! This site is great, I've been browsing around and have learned so much, what a great resource. I have a feeling it might become addictive!

I'm planning on the DFW MS 150 (I figure if I start telling everyone I'm going to do it, I won't be able to back out of it ) Of course it needs to start raining so I can actually start riding a bit more.

A couple of more pics. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions in the future!

That's one sweeeeeet ride!!! Wow- she's so pretty- love the detailing on the saddle and the subtle pink accents! Very nice!!! Thanks for posting the pics.

I thought about the DFW MS150 for next year also. I had friends do it last year and they had a blast! Best of luck to you!

It was the saddle that sealed the deal for me!! The bike shop guy was good, I test road a couple of bikes and really liked the Dolce. The one I rode was an 07 model and was bright blue. It was pretty, but I I didn't love it. I asked about other colors and he showed me this one, just enough pink to be pretty, but not too much to be obnoxious! I was talked into the MS150 Saturday night after a couple of margaritas.... But I wanted a cycling goal, so now I have a good one.

Wow, that is a nice bike. I love the saddle. I'm with you, the saddle would have been the clincher. The details on the bike makes it stand out from the rest.

I have a Specialized Sequoia and I really enjoy riding her. The seat is surprisingly comfie too. I think you will find out just how much zoom a road bike has and you'll be putting in hundreds of miles in no time.
