After yesterday's 35-mile ride of rollers, climbs, and some flat sections in Park City, DH and I decided to tackle Mill Creek Canyon today. It is neither the easiest nor the hardest canyon to ride in the area. The canyon road climbs about 2650 feet in about 9.5 miles and my guidebook lists the ride as "strenuous." The total ride was around 24-25 miles and we climbed some additional hills to and from the canyon. I don't have specifics because my bike computer tried to leap to its death during last weekend's ride with BikerHen on the Centennial Trail and I haven't gotten around to getting it fixed yet. High temps today will near 100, so we got out early. I definitely had to go to my happy place during parts of the climb. I told myself that I could stop and rest at any time, but I didn't stop until we reached the top -- somewhere around 7750' in altitude.
